Pride Day 2016

On the Day

There will be many different things that will be happening during the Luton Pride Event, Saturday 23rd July 2016. We aim to make this an event that everyone can attend and have a good time. We will be celebrating the LGBT+ community as well celebrating and showing the diversity of Luton Town.

In the Sections below will see brief descriptions of thing that will be happening during the day.

Stage:

One of the main parts of Luton Pride will be the stage. The Stage will host varying continuous items from the opening to the closing of the event.

At present we foresee the following as being a mainstay for the running order of the day.

Musicians | Bands | Dance Acts | Drag Queens | DJ`s

We also hope to have a comedian and much more

There is a possibility that some artists may request pyrotechnics during their performance.

Food Stalls:

There will be various food stalls located on site. They will be selling and cooking a selection of food that includes both sweet and savoury food types. The exact nature of the services is still to be finalised.

Beer Tents:

We aim to have two beer tents located on site. They will be selling a range of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. Anyone wishing to purchase alcoholic beverages will have to have purchased an Over 18’s wristband which must be produced prior to any purchase.

General Tents and Stalls:

Throughout the day various tents and stalls will be located around the site. We hope these will be a mixture of charity/community, corporate, sponsorship and retail operations.

We have approached the following organisations for their support, and will be writing to each of these to confirm if they wish to be represented at the event.

Fun Fair:

On Pride day we are aiming to provide a Fun Fair for the public to use, the contract will be tendered out to a provider, the successful applicant of the tender will be asked to pay a pitch fee. The provider will be fully responsible for their own operation and necessary permits, safety and liability insurance.

Picnic Area:

There will be space provided for a picnic area with benches and tables that anyone is welcome to use, for the consumption of food and beverages. The picnic area will also be available as a general rest area.
